Fun and Focus Play 'N Train:
Does your dog love to play but has trouble listening to you and following commands when distracted?  Do they forget they know you or forget their training at the dog park?  Let's work on changing that! Fun and Focus combines playtime for dogs 6 months and older with basic commands such as recalls, leash walking, sits and downs.  Dogs must be known to be dog friendly and social with positive history in dog.  Pre-evaluation required.  Please note that this is not a class to work on socialization, this class is to strengthen commands.   Class size limited to 6 dogs and owners must have a clicker before class start as we will use this as a tool with recalls only.  Taught by Nicole.

Socialization Skills Class:
Are you unsure of how to introduce your dog to people and other dogs? Are they too shy, show a little reactiveness or over the top with excitement?  This class helps teach you and your dog to become more comfortable with these meet and greets.  You will learn about canine and human body language, how to use it to your advantage, how to set up the situation for success and calming techniques to use with your dog.  Many exercises need two handlers, so having at least two people per family attend is required.  Class is at a metered pace so we can build a better foundation for greetings.  Class is open to dogs 6 months and older and limited to 6 dogs.  Taught by Nicole.

Out And About Class
Would you like to take your pup “Out And About” with you and get compliments on their behavior?  This 5 week class starts night one at our facility then subsequent weeks will be meeting at pet friendly stores such as Lowe’s or Home Depot.  Handlers will learn how to train their dogs in proper entrances and exits through doorways and automatic doors, maneuvering through crowds, control on steps and elevators (if available) and confidence with noises and sounds.  The 5th week includes either the Canine Good Citizen Advanced or Urban Canine Good Citizen test- everyone will take the test but if you want the official paperwork to register the test with AKC, it is an extra $10.  Please note that in order to register these tests with AKC, your dog must have already passed and registered the CGC however this is not a requirement to take the class.  Because we are going into public, dogs must be evaluated for class if we have not previously met them.  Class minimum 3 and maximum 4 dogs.  Taught by Tiffany.
