Canicross Seminar:
Canicross is a team sport where a person and dog run together, with the dog pulling the runner using a bungee leash. Whether you are new to running or starting up running again after a break and your dog is new to CaniCross, then seminar is for you! Learn how to appropriately fit your dog's harness, how to build up distance, useful commands, and safe practices. This class is mainly indoors to learn methods, however weather dependent, we may use the Perkiomen Trail next to the training center to practice skills in short spurts. Working and audit spots available. Pet First Aid and CPR:
This course will teach you how to check your pet's vital signs, how to recognize the need for and how to provide first aid and CPR, and how to provide preventative care for your pets. Topics include breathing and cardiac emergencies, wound care, and seizures to name a few. Participants will work with a CPR demo dog and stuffed demo dogs to practice first aid and CPR skills. Topics are applicable to both cats and dogs. This is a human only seminar, please leave your furry friends at home. Taught by Jenny, certified in Pet CPR. Town and Country Walking:
Taking our dog with us on daily activities has become the norm and we wouldn’t have it any other way! What we don’t realize is that Town settings and Country settings have different expectations that we very rarely teach the dog. This class coaches owners in the different etiquette and commands to help our dogs succeed in these environments. Each class is 1.5-2 hours long and the first night meets at Valley Forge National Park and the second night in Downtown Phoenixville. Class limited to 6 dogs. Taught by Debbie. $90 Monday nights: 6:00 - 8:00 pm July 7 & 14 Please note that we do not offer make up classes, however should you miss a class the homework will be sent to you via email.
