Fit Dog:
Fit dog class is designed for owners to engage in fitness enriched activities with their dog in a fun and safe manner. You will learn proper form and safety while doing various fitness exercises to improve your dog’s balance, flexibility, stamina, and overall body fitness.  Some of the benefits from fit dog class include cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance and strength – for both you and your dog!  Other skills include the cookie stretch, tuck sit, nose touch, kick back stand and fold back down in addition to walking.  You do not need to be athletes to take the class but it is great for people who are active with their dogs or want to be active with their dogs.  Fit dog class is not for dogs who need rehabilitation; it is for healthy dogs with no significant prior injuries or conditions,   You will also be eligible for AKC Fit Dog Titles as this class is taught by Debbie who is a certified Fit Dog Instructor. Limited to 2 dogs.

Tricks for Tailwaggers Class:
Do you want to have that dog that is the life of the party? Let’s teach that pup some tricks!  Learn three different training methods to teach your dog tricks like commando crawl, jump, spin, paws up, kiss, find it…you get the idea! At the end of class we will take the AKC Trick Dog Title test which is open to all dogs purebred or mixed breeds!  For Trick Dog info please visit:  http://www.akc.org/about-trick-dog/. Parkour for the Pups!
Dog Parkour is similar to the human version where the participants leap and climb over and around everyday objects but without the extreme and dangerous stunts.  Dogs and handlers will be taught to complete tricks, behaviors and commands around obstacles that include balancing, jumping and crawling.  Parkour, sometimes called Urban Agility, is a fun way to add excitement to every day walks, enrich your dog’s experiences and refine their attention and focus while building your bond with your dog.  Class limited to 6 dogs and classes will be held at various local locations, such as parks, in Collegeville, Phoenixville and Lansdale.  Participants will be notified of location ahead of time.  Taught by Jenny.

Pooches & Paddleboards Workshop:
Introducing your dog to kayaking/paddleboarding can be a rewarding experience for both of you, strengthening your bond and providing a new adventure! We will start with introductions to the vessels on land and then aim to get our feet wet in a shallow portion of the Schuylkill River. We will be taking things slow and will stay close to the boat ramp, no long voyages this time around. Plan to get wet and dress accordingly. Participation is at your own risk. Bring plenty of treats, leash and harness, towels, a bowl and fresh water for your dog.  Two kayaks, a paddleboard and two human life vests will be available for use. If you have life vests for you or your dog, bring them. You are also welcome to bring your own paddleboard or kayak. There is a portapotty available for use.  Maximum 6 dogs.

Fit Dog Paddle Trip:
Get out on the water with your pup! This paddling trip is an out and back that will start at Fitzwater Station and continue along the Schuylkill canal towards Route 29 and the lock house, ending back at Fitzwater Station. Pups should already be reasonably comfortable on a kayak, paddle board or canoe as there will be no instruction or training. A single 9 foot sit on top kayak and a single inflatable paddle board, both with a 300lb weight capacity, are available for use upon request and while supplies lasts. Participants can bring their own vessel, or kayaks can be rented at Port Providence Paddle. It is recommended to make reservations in advance if renting. Duration ~2hrs and 3-4miles, or you can shorten as needed. Participation is at your own risk. Human family members welcome!
