I have been an animal lover my entire life and currently share my home with a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Hannah Boden, Rottweilers named Barrett and Kimber and a Rottie mix named Dozer. My other recent breeds included a chocolate lab, a border collie mix, a yellow lab and a standard poodle. I have also fostered over 180 dogs of various breeds for local rescues. I currently volunteer with and am a Board Member for Home At Last Dog Rescue in North Wales, PA.
I have been working professionally with animals since 1992 and began my training career in 1995. I served as the Program Director for a leading service dog organization from 1995-2002 where I began honing my training skills and forming my own style. During the same time period I also served as Coordinator and Spokesperson for Assistance Dogs International. In 2002, I officially opened Woofs of Wisdom.
One of only 350 trainers in the US currently certified by The National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, I also have a certificate in Animal Science and my professional experience includes:

I trained my previous chocolate Labrador to the level of service dog and he served as a demonstration dog for the service dog organization where we worked. We have been seen on local cable , NBC 10 and on Fox 29’s Good Day. I was also named “Best of Philly Dog Trainer” by Philadelphia Magazine and “Best of Montco” by readers of The Times Herald. Dozer, one of my current dogs, has already achieved the following titles: Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Trick Dog Novice, Therapy Dog Novice and Rally Dog Novice. All this while suffering from Narcolepsy!
I also have experience working with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments and understand the need to tailor training to what works best with each individual dog and handler. I am experienced in almost all training aids on the market and will work closely with you to find the methods and aids that will help you achieve your goals.
